There are more health benefits to watermelon than meets the eye. Did you know that the lycopene and citrulline nutrients in watermelon may promote heart health? These nutrients can help to reduce cholesterol and blood pressure.

Just another reason to add watermelon to your plate!

Additionally, lycopene, vitamin C, and antioxidants found in watermelon may reduce oxidative damage and inflammation in your body.

You might notice your digestion is running smoother if you’re eating a lot of watermelons. That is likely because of the water content and fiber found in watermelons.

So now that you know how good watermelons really are for your health, how about a delicious watermelon salad? This one is amazing!

This salad is hydrating to say the least, but you also have some healthy fats with the avocado and olive oil—seriously beautiful ingredients.

I made a half recipe and it was perfect for just the two of us. I might sub goat cheese for the feta next time.

This salad went viral last year. I’m still making it this year. It’s just as delish!
